Most employee fraud and unethical behavior is detected by the employer receiving a tip from an employee.
How can you best protect your company from fraud? You can help your employees help you by providing them with an Employee Reporting Hotline. By implementing an Employee Reporting Hotline, you can limit fraud and unethical behavior in your organization through prevention and early detection. A recent study showed that, for companies that provided their employees an anonymous means to report suspected bad behavior, the median loss per scheme was $100,000 compared to $250,000 for those without a Hotline.
OUR APPROACH
Harding, Shymanski & Company, P.S.C. works closely with an independent vendor who has years of experience in taking incident reports to provide this service – and we make it affordable. You can reassure your employees that reports are anonymous and confidential, as phone numbers and PC identification numbers are not tracked. Reports can be submitted via a dedicated 800 number during core business hours, an automated voice messaging system after core business hours, or 24/ 7 on the internet. We’ll be notified of the report and will first call your company’s designee and then follow with a written report. You can then review the facts and decide if further investigation is warranted. And you will have our team of trained professionals behind you every step of the way.
Our Business Advisory Services group has a Certified Fraud Examiner, a Certified Valuation Analyst, and two Certified Internal Controls Specialists on staff, in addition to a number of Certified Public Accountants.
