The Great Game of Business: Inside the Huddle

Join Harding, Shymanski & Company, P.S.C. and Prairie Capital Advisors as they host a seminar in which Rob Shear, General Manager of SRC of Lexington, Inc., and SRC team members will share insights from inside the company that launched their open-book management movement.

In 1983 along with 12 other managers, Jack Stack scraped together $100,000 in cash, borrowed $8.9 million and transformed a failing division of International Harvester into one of the most successful and competitive companies in America. Under Mr. Stack’s leadership and Open-Book Management approach (later coined The Great Game of Business), this formerly failing company has now become SRC Holdings Corporation, the oldest employee-owned remanufacturer in North America and a thriving company of 2,600 employee owners operating in 12 business units across a variety of industries.

Program includes:

  • SRC Highlight Reel: Creating a Winning Culture – Rob Shear will share the SRC story and insights on creating an open-book management culture.
  • Winning as a Team – In this panel discussion, SRC team members will answer questions about the real-life challenges and successes of open-book management.
